The Roads inspected include: Naze/Nekede/Ihiagwa, Akachi, Dick- Tiger, Chukwuma Nwoha, MCC, Mbonu Ojike, Aladimma and Environs, Amauzari/Relief Market and Asumpta Avenue Roads.

Nwosu outlined that there are thirty seven actively ongoing Road Projects in the State, of which twenty eight were awarded by the previous government led by Emeka Ihedioha, while nine Road Projects are strategic and awarded by the Shared Prosperity Government manned by Governor Hope Uzodimma, saying those strategic roads are being monitored tactically to ensure solidity and timely completion to ease suffering.

Nwosu noted that some Road Projects awarded by Ihedoha were reviewed and revoked due to slowness of contractors and over cost and re-awarded to serious construction firms at a lower cost.

Hinting that the government will always right any wrong done in the course of delivering quality roads, the Commissioner pointed out that the previous government paid fifteen percent contract sum to the contractors especially the one handling the Naze/Nekede/Ihiagwa Road Project out of the six point something billion naira total contract cost, but over ninety eight point something million naira was paid to the contracting firm by the present administration to enable it do standard work.

We want value for our money. We are into serious business of relieving our people through constructing quality roads which will encourage business activities”.
