TSF calls for Applications for Scholarship Award for tertiary students in Nigeria

A global, non-governmental, and non-profit charitable organization established to foster human capacity building and community development in Africa with special focus on Nigeria, THE STRIVAD FOUNDATION (TSF) has rolled out the 2026/2027 edition of its scholarship award program for students of public tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

In a release made available by the Director of Communications, Dr. Vera Williams-Mordi it stated that the annual scholarship awards for the tertiary education will award each successful candidate a grant of N200, 000 to serve as incentive for improved education.

She noted applicant must be: a Nigerian Citizen, must be studying in a Public Tertiary Institution in Nigeria and that the candidate must be in 200 Level or above as at the time of application.

According to the statement, the candidate will submit an official attestation letter from his/her Head of Department of the institution. The deadline for the submission of application is 30th of September 2026.

The Foundation which was established in 2003 by Ambassador High Chief Dr. Uche Iro, a Germany-based entrepreneur and philanthropist, maintains operational offices in Germany and Nigeria was officially incorporated and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in Nigeria in January 2019. The foundation has the mission to channel structured philanthropic efforts towards empowering the youth, supporting education, and improving community livelihoods.

The key Programs and Initiatives of the Foundation include the Scholarship and Post-Apprenticeship Scheme: Originally started as a private initiative in 1994, which provided annual scholarships to bright yet needy higher-institution students in Nigeria and empowers youths to launch independent businesses and the TSF-Nze Sir Raphael O. Iro Memorial Teachers’ Merit Award: A yearly recognition program honoring distinguished serving and retired public school teachers to celebrate their contributions to education and promote a reading culture. Other notable charitable innitiatives of the foundation include provision of medical support and palliatives for indigent aged Nigerians and giving of women empowerment for self-sustainance.
