Okolieogwo hails new Imo Commissioner for Justice, Obinatu …Believes he’ll deliver on mandate
By Ikenna Orioha…
The Special Adviser to Governor Hope Uzodimma on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Willie TC Okolieogwo, has hailed Barr. Paul Obinatu on his new appointment as the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of Imo State.
Okolieogwo gave the commendation in an interview during a reception held by the appointee sequel to his formal inauguration by the Executive Governor at Government House Owerri on Saturday.
He said the appointment of Paul Obinatu Esq was meritoriously deserving as he is a sound legal luminary who knows his onion and has efficiently contributed to the good of humanity, success and growth of the state.
Seeing Paul Obinatu, who hails from Oru East LGA, as a calm, peaceful, calculated, resourceful and a loyal party man, the SA stressed that he believes that he will deliver on mandate.
“Hon. Paul Obinatu is the most youngest Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of Imo State since the creation of the state. He is a loyal party man, committed and a dedicated loyalist, a well respected jurist, a member of 2010 Set of Councillors and that is where my relationship with him started and till then he has piloted the affairs of the Councillors before his appointment. And prior to his appointment, he was the Special Adviser to the Governor on Legislative Matters.
“He is a good man that knows his onion, legally speaking. And even when we were in court – as Councillors after the desolution of Legislative House in 2010 by the Rescue Mission regime spearheaded by Rochas Okorocha – all legislative steps we took then which made us to secure victory against Rochas Okorocha, he was instrumental to them.
“He is indeed an active and fair-minded young man and I strongly believe that he will deliver on mandate”, Okolieogwo remarked.
Okolieogwo, a popular, pragmatic politician who is peace-loving and resilient, did not mince his words as he praised Governor Hope Uzodimma for finding Paul Obinatu suitably fit for the exalted position.
