Imo NYC Chairman, Nze Hails Gov Uzodimma’s Road Infrastructure, Urges Youth Empowerment

The Imo State Chairman of Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC), Comrade Prince Stanley Ugochukwu, has hailed Governor Hope Uzodimma for achieving quality things in Imo State, especially Road Infrastructure, Orashi Electricity Project, attraction of Robotic and Ontology Surgery Centre, among other numerous democratic values.

Speaking to journalists in Owerri on Tuesday, the newly appointed Chairman of NYC, Imo State chapter, said these valuable achievements recorded by the 3R administration are largely encouraging productivity: commercial activities, thereby improving peace, security, social development and economic prosperity in the state.

Nze appealed to the Governor and those who work in the 3R administration to intensify democratic governance to evenly advance the goodness of the people who he said desire good living.

Nze stated that his leadership will be all-encompassing, saying he and other youth bodies in Imo State will continue to align, work on one page and cordially too to help engineer actual development in the Oil and Gas Producing state.

He urged the State Government; the Ministry of Youth and Talent Hunt to expedite more action on youth empowerment through employment into government establishments, public or civil service, skills acquisitions, trades, formal education, among others, to lessen poverty, suffering, hardship and vulnerability.

“I am calling on every youth leader in Imo State to often cue in with the NYC leadership to strengthen youth goodies and empowerment. We are willing to work cordially and effectively with all the youth of Imo in order to improve good governance.

“Looking at how impoverished the youth look, NYC leadership is not happy. Hence we are going to work more closely with the Imo State Government: the Commissioner of Youth and Talent Hunt, Dr. Emeka Mandela Ukaegbu, to see that the youth are richly empowered especially via skills acquisitions such as digital/ICT, trades, including political positions either by election or appointment.

“Because when the youth are richly empowered, they
would be enabled to contribute meaningfully to the development of the state, with peace and security being advanced, crime reduced minimally.

“I commend Governor Hope Uzodimma for his good leadership that gives rise to numerous record of valuable things, achievements, especially in the areas of road infrastructure, Orashi electricity project, attraction of Robotic and Ontology Hospital”, Nze emphasized.

While thanking the National President of NYC, Engr. Jethro Annum, for finding him worthy of good leadership and appointed him as the Imo State Chairman of NYC, Nze pledged absolute service to Imo State youths, vowing that he cannot afford to disappoint them.
