Countdown To 2022 Imo Productivity Merit Award: Gov Uzodinma Affirms Commitment To Improved Productivity
It is no longer in doubt that the 3R government of His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodinma is walking the talk in ensuring a quantum leap in the Productivity index of the state.
The Commissioner for Labour, Employment and Productivity Chief Prince Ford Ozumba stated this in a Press statement in Owerri.
Prince Ford Ozumba whose ministry is undertaking the task of planning and executing the 2022 Imo Productivity Merit Award, disclosed that presently there are a number of programs being executed by the government in partnership with development partners targeted at the youths and unemployed in order to make them gainfully engaged and productive. Of particular interest is the proposed training of about 300,000 youths in digital economy which will transform Imo state into the digital hub of Africa.
On the award, the commissioner stressed that the nominees cut across the various sectors of human endeavour, adding that their nomination was purely based on merit with verifiable achievements.
He expressed gratitude to the governor for deeming it necessary and germane to approve the award, noting that its ripple effect will be unquantifiable.
Prince Ford Ozumba also announced that preparations are on top gear to ensure that the program becomes a resounding success and a source of pride to the state and her citizens, stressing that massive and extensive publicity of the event is already underway through the social media (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Whatsapp and Twitter) as well as radio and television jingles and publications in reputable newspapers.
He congratulated the awardees on their nomination.
