350 senior police officers trained on modern strategies for conflicts resolution
Over Three Hundred and Fifty senior officers of Nigeria Police Force have been trained on modern strategies for maintenance of peace and conflict resolutions.
The training was organized by a non-government and non-profit organization, Citizens Advocate for Peace is Possible in Nigeria, CAPIPIN in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force.

The three (3) day capacity building training, held at Police Resource Center Abuja, according to the organizers, was designed to boost professional efficiency and encourage effective service delivery among police personnel in the country.
In his remark, the group’s National Director, Rtn. Chibuike Akujobi said the knowledge and skills gained from the training, would strengthen participants’ capacity to resolve conflicts swiftly, fairly and peacefully.
He said the training was aimed at ensuring sustainable peace, unity and security, necessary for over all socio-political and economic development of the country.
Akujuobi said, “today’s gathering reflects our collective commitment to building a safer, more united Nigeria where dialogue prevails over violence, and understanding overcomes hostility. As police officers, you are not only law enforcers, but also frontline peace builders in our communities.”
He continued, “Modern challenges demand modern solutions. The days of brute force must give way for intelligent engagement, emotional intelligence and community driven peace strategies.
“This training equips you with the tools to de-scalate tension, mediate disputes, and restore trust, key ingredient for strong lasting peace. Let me appreciate every shareholder who made this possible, especiallyThe Board Of Trustee members, centres of CAPIPIN and our partners.”
“We must all keep working together as government, civil servants, and society, and security forces to ensure that peace is not just a dream, but a reality.” he finally advised.

The event had in attendance, the Inspector General Of Police (IGP) Olatunji Rilwan Disu, represented by DIG Umar Shehu Nadada (Deputy Inspector General of Police) Department of Police Operations, Force Head Quaters Abuja; DIG Fayoade Adegoke Mustapha (Deputy Inspector General of Police) Department of Training and Development, Force Headquarters, Abuja, represented by AIG Ifeanyi Uche the Assistant Inspector general of police incaharge of training and development.
The Police chiefs in their respective remarks commended CAPIPIN for organizing the training and pledged continued partnership with the organization.
They also promised to encourage the organization in ensuring that the trainings are extended to all the police officers and commands across the country.
The trainings were delivered by experts in area of leadership, peace and conflict resolutions, who include Dr. Roland Kwemain, the CEO Go Ahead Africa Ltd and a Former World President of Junior Chamber International (JCI); Felix Chinedu Akubenyi, A Professor of Environmental Microbiology from the University of Cross River State, Calabar.
Others are Mrs. Nireti Adebayo, the CEO of Whyte Cleon Limited and Dr. Onyenkachi Okezie Esq. renowned legal practitioner, international media and management consultant.
Highlights of the events include the presentation of peace ambassador awards and certificate of appreciation to Dr. Obinna George Unegbu (MD/CEO) of Shekinah British International School (SBIS), Owerri Imo State; Mr Shedrack C. Uwajuonye; Hon. Don James Etim; AIG Aboki Danjuma (RTD) Immediate Past Commissoner Of Police, Imo Command; Mr Uchenna Oleru, and ACP Adamu Amadu, Head, SID Imo Command.
