He charged them to analyze and sensitize society on issues of national importance for people to make informed decisions for the development of the country.
The elder statesman and legal luminary stressed that the media has the constitutional mandate of advancing a peaceful, just and inclusive society.
Professor Dike commended the three social crusaders for being emerging voices in the advocacy for social justice while saluting their resilience for blending activism with journalism adding that media profession is a fulcrum for keeping government and its officials accountable to the people.
He said that to whom much is given, much is as well expected.
In reply, the trio media gurus who expressed happiness over his keen observation of the goings on around him and society at large promised that they would continue to bridge the gap between the governed and the government to make sure that the yearnings, aspirations, desires of the populace are realized.
