Insecurity is a universal issue, stop particularizing it to Imo – Nlemigbo
By CHINYERE Nnaemeka…

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC and the immediate past Imo State Chairman of the party, Chief Marcellinus Nlemigbo has cautioned those always hinting that there is insecurity in the state, saying, “the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, should rather be commended for the efforts he has put forth in tackling the challenge.”
He also stated that the insecurity menace is a universal issue and that there is now peace in Imo, when compared to other States.
The APC chieftain gave the admonition recently while fielding questions from newsmen during the IPAC’s Peace conference held recently at Golden Tulip Hotel Owerri, for all the 17 Political parties and their Governorship candidates towards the November 11, 2023 guber election in the state.
Speaking, Nlemigbo pointed out, “Insecurity is a universal issue, you see what is happening in Israel, in Anambra, Abia, Zamfara, among others, and some people instead of commending governor Uzodimma in what he is doing to curtail it, they are busy politicizing the whole situation.
“If you go to this States I mentioned, and others, you will see that Imo is very peaceful compared to what is happening over there.
“People should learn to appreciate laudable efforts instead of always engaging in this bring him down syndrome. Governor Hope Uzodimma has done well in the aspect of bringing the insecurity challenge in the state to it’s bearest minimum, and so should be applauded for it, ‘Nlemigbo opined’.
For the forth coming election, he further advised other political parties, saying, “Political parties should go and campaign, work hard, and show great level of commitment to the whole process.
“They can see what APC is doing in the state; putting up posters, reaching out to people, among others, and at the end of the day, you expect that they won’t win, that’s not possible, for if one works hard during an examination period, such person must surely pass the exams.
“Am an apostle of Charter of Equity, and I believe that after governor Uzodimma must have finished his second tenure, it will now be the turn of Owerri Zone, so I urged everyone of us to support a great leader in completing what he has started in the state.”
