Popular On-Air Personality “Nonso Nkwa” Bags Award of Excellence From AG Church, Ebom Obokwe

Renowned Imo On-Air Personality and activist, Theodore Chinonso Uba, popularly known as “Nonso Nkwa” has been awarded with an award of Excellence from Assemblies of God Church, AGC, Ebom Obokwe, Mbaitoli LGA, Imo state.
The radio personality, was awarded by the youths of the church on June 12 to mark their 2022 Youth Day as celebrated yearly by AGC across the world.
According to the youths, the award is based on merit as the choice of the recipient was arrived at after a thorough search for the rare criteria of selflessness, activism and community service.
Presenting the award of Excellence to the awardee, the resident pastor of AGC Ebom Obokwe Church, Pastor Amb. Prince-Samuel Ukwu noted that Nonso Nkwa is friend of AGC having received various awards from other local churches.
Pastor Prince added that the award is an encouragement for the good works of the Nonso Nkwa in society; to spur him to do more as the award is purely on merit and void of sentiments.
“I want to let you all know that Nonso Nkwa is a friend to Assemblies of God and that we are not the first church to honour him”
“And you all know that I don’t give award to any person based on fear or favour though I have numerous contacts to call out but we are calling on the right and qualified individuals”
The award reads: “Award of Recognition presented to Mazi Theodore Chinonso Uba (Nonso Nkwa) as the Voice to the poor masses for your immense contribution towards safety of Imolites through media sensitization during the security challenges in the state without fear or favour.
Today 12th June, 2022. Congratulations”
Receiving the award, Nonso Nkwa thanked the congregation, especially the youths for finding him worthy and promised to always have them at heart.
He urged the youth to be steadfast in the service of God, adding that God always bless people who diligently work in His Vineyard and “the beginning of youthful living is the fear of God”
“People who work in God’s Vineyard, attracts God to work in their lives and vice versa”
The “Akuko Siri” (Newspaper Review on Ozisa FM Owerri) Presenter stressed that all his work on radio has been apeals to the government to treat the citizens aright as well as provide, and protect them, while urging the church to always pray to God for Mercies as well as take stance on issues of governance.
“It is only When you bring God into a situation, that God will come in and calm the storm”
“There is nothing more I talk about on radio if not the need for government to carry out its functions and responsibilities onto the citizens as well as pay all salaries, pensions and gratuities as and when due”
Mr Uba who decried the high level of bad governance in the state and prayed for a change in the narrative, added that with informed decision in the next general elections, the people will get it right with their desired leadership as well as having him represent Mbaike Federal Constituency.
He said “By the Grace of God, if God permits, I will be representing Mbaitoli, Federal Constituency” to consolidate his struggles for good governance at the Federal level to change the ugly narrative.
