Imo Pilgrims Pray For Peace At Church of Nativity
The 300 Imo pilgrims along with others currently in Isreal have held intercessory prayers for peace in
Imo state and Nigeria in general.
According to report from Bethlehem by one of the Imo pilgrims who is the Chairman Nigeria Union of Joutnalists,

Ifeanyi Nwanguma, the prayer session was held at the church of Nativity.
The Church of Nativity was built by Helena, mother of Emperor Constantine and the site Jesus Christ was born.
After the intercessory prayers at the Church of Nativity, the pilgrims moved over to St Jerome Chapel and to the Shepherd’s field where the Angels announced the birth of Jesus Christ to local Shepherds.

It will be recalled that,
Imo State Pilgrims with the help of their Guards entered the promised land from the East, about 150km to the North from the place where children of Israel entered Canaan under Joshua’s Command. Passing through the valley of Jezreel and Gilboa Mountains where King Saul and his three sons were killed by Philippines.
Imo State Pilgrims climbed the Tabor Mount known as ‘place of Transfiguration of Christ’ .
They also visited the Church of St Joseph and the Church of Annunciation and proceed down to Cana of Galilee where Jesus Christ performed his first miracle at a wedding ceremony by turning water into wine.

Imo State Pilgrims however visited the Sea of Galilee and Capernaum, the Biblical village in the upper Galilee region where Jesus Christ made his home during the years of his Ministry.
The pilgrims also visited the Church of multiplication of bread and Fish known as ‘ Tabgha’ where over 5000 people were fed by Jesus Christ, mount of Beatitudes believed to be the most beautiful place in the Holy land and a joyful cruise across the Sea of Galilee.

They visited the Mount of olives, the best observation points overlooking Jerusalem and proceeded down the road where Jesus Christ entered the city as Messiah on Palm Sunday.
The pilgrims further visited the chapel of Peter Noster, Chapel of Dominus Flevit , Church of Agony, mount Zion, the last supper room, King David’s Tomb and the garden of Gethsemane where Jesus Christ was arrested.
