News Corner Media Bags “Media Outfit of the Year” Award

A renowned Online media outfit in Imo State, “News Corner” has been awarded the ‘Best Media Outfit of The Year’ in the State by the Association of Mass Communication Students, ASMACS, Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri at her 2019 Awards.

The annual award ceremony which had its 2019 edition held at Lekki’s Park Hotels, Nekede, Owerri weekend witnessed a large turnout of invited guests.

Presenting the award of Excellence to the News Corner Media crew, the Director of Socials of the Department of Mass Communication, Federal Polytechnic, Nekede,  Owerri, Comrade Chinemerem Onwusoaka said the award was in recognition and appreciation of immense contribution and indelible marks of leadership of the media outfit towards the Association and society.

Comrade Chinemerem who expressed confidence in the outfit added that the award is on merit.

Receiving the Award, the publisher of the media outfit, Mr. ThankGod Emeh thanked the organisers of the 2019 edition for their noble recognition.

Mr. Emeh stressed that the media outfit has come to stay and will always bring to its audiences news and trending issues happening outside and within with the help of his correspondence.

He pledged his support and called on the Chief organisers to always partner with the News Corner.

The prestigious awards, which is an annual awards event that

recognises personalities and organisations who distinguished themselves in their contributions toward the growth and development of media practicing, had top personalities in attendance.

The highlights of the ceremony was the presentation of Achievers awards and honours to personalities, Organisations and groups who have distinguished themselves in various sectors of society across the globe as well as dance, pageantry and comedy.
