Imo: Youths Block Police Station For Failing To Arrest Kidnappers in Their Domain
Reports have it that Angry youths from Obazu Mbieri in Mbaitoli LGA, Imo state on Monday May 30, 2022 blocked the Police station in the locality and restricted police operatives from arresting anyone from the town having failed to assist them in arresting kidnappers who operated earlier in the day.
According to the youths, the kidnappers operated unchallenged in their town for over three hours even when they blocked all the access roads to frustrate them from escaping and called the Police for rescue but to no avail.
Consequently, the kidnappers abandoned their operational vehicles when the youths blocked all the roads but took to walking to the extent that they even had to fix one of their faulty vehicles easily without counter from the Police or any other security agents in the area.
In anger, the youths stormed the Mbieri Police station after the attack and warned the police operatives from arresting anyone from their town henceforth since they can’t arrest criminals.
Later, an SUV used by the kidnappers for the operation was left with damages done to it with the car’s Plate Number made away with.
