Onuimo Council Boss Lauds Uzodimma On Economic Summit, Says Orashi Electricity Project, Road Infrastructure, Other Legacy Projects will Skyrocket Imo Economy ||| NEWS CORNER
As Imo State held 2025 Economic Summit in Owerri, the state’s capital city, on Thursday and Friday respectively, the Executive Chairman of Onuimo Local Government Area, Dr. Emeka Obi, has said that Orashi Electricity Project, Free Trade Zone, quality road infrastructure, ICT, agriculture revolution, oil and gas deposit, tourism and hospitality, among other initiatives and resources made available by the present Imo State governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma would help the state’s economy to skyrocket in the improvement, development, wellbeing and welfare of the citizens of the State.
Obi stated this in an interview with journalists during the two days Economic Summit with the theme “Unlocking Imo’s Economic Potentials: Partnership, Investment And Innovation”.

He said the beautiful, seren and peaceful Imo environment attract investments, as investors come in, in droves, tourists troup in to savour and enjoy the hospitality, culture and glamorous atmosphere of the state, hinting that the state of the art structures built by the 3R administration also endear tourists and investors into the state.

Obi stressed that the “quality road and other infrastructure put in place by the Governor including ICT, Free Trade Zone, tourism and hospitality richness, commerce and industry are strengthening the economy of the state as investors and tourists troup into the state in droves”.
He lauded the Governor for organizing what he termed world – class economic summit, as well as bringing Heads of States, world policy makers, ICT gurus, technocrats, art/theatre/entertainment gurus, captains of industries, entrepreneurs and economists who he praised for offering their in-depth economic knowledge on how best to develop and improve the economy of Imo State in the future.
Obi said the Onuimo Council and the entire people of the LGA are working on one page to ensure that peace and security are sustained therein as to improve the economy, wellbeing and welfare of the people of the LGA in line with the economic, welfare and wellbeing policy of the Government of Imo State.
