S’East NUJ election: Ebonyi Council Celebrates Adiuku on Victory as VP
The Leadership of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ebonyi State Council, have congratulated the newly elected Vice President and Secretary of South East region of the union, describing the victory as well deserved.
According to a release by issued and signed by the state Council’s Secretary, Comrade Chinaza John noted that the Council is not surprised to see them on board as VP and Secretary as their
emergence is a testament to the trust and confidence Journalists from the South-East zone have in their vision, and commitment to journalism and Union matters across boards to break new grounds for the zone.
Ebonyi NUJ while calling for member’s support, hailed the national leadership of the Union for inaugurating the Zonal leadership while praying for a successful tenure.
“On behalf of the teeming journalists in Ebonyi State, the leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ebonyi State Council, extends our heartfelt congratulations to Comrade Ezenwa Adiukwu and Comrade Emmanuel Irem on your emergence as Vice President and Secretary of NUJ South-East (zone C), respectively.

“Your emergence is a testament to the trust and confidence Journalists from the South-East zone have in your vision, competence, and unwavering commitment to the core values of journalism ethics.
“We have no doubt that these pivotal leadership positions handed to you will bring significant achievements to journalism profession and usher in a period of transformation that will strengthen the capacity building of journalists, promote press freedom and foster unity among media practitioners within the region as beyond.
“We pray for wisdom, strength, integrity and divine guidance to serve the Union and our beloved zone.
“We also seize this opportunity to thank the national leadership of our great Union ably led by Comrade Alhassan Abdullah Yahya, for their unwavering support to the members of the Union from the South-East zone, particularly members of Ebonyi State Council. We are very much grateful as we keep praying for more divine guidance to propel the boat of our union to greater heights”
