Cheers as Messiah Grace Mission Holds Health, Outreach Initiative in Grand Style

A hyper-powered medical foundation with primary objectives to extend a helping hand to individuals facing adversity and instilling hope in all situations, the Messiah Grace Mission Foundation on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, held a comprehensive and intensive medical outreach for the people of Umunyem village and environs in Nkwerre local government area, Imo state.

The outreach, which comprised of primary health care, diagnostic testing, community welfare, medication distribution, as well as spiritual consultation and healthy lifestyle teaching among other loaded palliatives attracted both the young and aged men and women of the area in their numbers.


The medical mission according to the management of the NGO, is to give back to society, especially during the Yuletide season, to cushion the effects of economic challenges across the country.
Speaking on the occasion, the Founder of the Messiah Grace Mission, Mr. Iheanyi Nathan said, the outreach is birthed on rendering service to God and Humanity across boards especially as it borders on health, noting that health is wealth.

Mr. Nathan expressed happiness over the turnout of people who partook in the medical mission, adding that the foundation which is over Ten years old has carried out a lot outreaches for betterment of society both home and abroad.


“We don’t have limitations, we have build houses for the needy, we have offered scholarship and we have rendered medical assistance to people among others…”
Speaking also, the Co-founder of the Organization, Mrs Nathan Ukachi said “the Messiah Grace Mission as well as the outreach is about thanking God through giving back to the community, stressing that it is very important to give back to society to make the world a better place”.

She added that “it is our passion and I know it is the right thing to do”
Highlighting the significance of the outreach, a Specialist Doctor Dr. Jerry Ekpemadu said the programme is fully packaged to cater for everyone in Umunyem village, and Nkwerre community at large noting the organization prepared very well for the mission which included Vital Signs checkup and self-care medical tools.

“The Messiah Grace Mission came down to take care of the people, not just health wise but a full package outreach with palliatives such as rice, free thermometer, sphygmomanometers, thermometers and glucometers among others”
The Nurse in charge of the Mission’s Laboratory Janet McBean who emphasized that the health and palliative outreach was geared towards putting smiles on the faces of the people, stated that the programme was systematically organized to fully take care of the well-being of the beneficiaries from checkup to drug administration among others including food and cloth gifts to the people.

One of the beneficiaries of the outreach, Mr. Eberechi Azode who could not contain his joy at the impacts of the foundation stressed that “Every programme of the NGO is purely free of charge” as he recounts undergoing a successful surgery done and sponsored by Messiah Grace Mission after a fatal accident that almost damaged his legs.

He prayed God to bless the management of the Foundation while calling on Umunyem people to take the “Messiah Grace Mission” initiatives seriously, adding that the holistic programmes of the NGO are one-of-a-kind and would last the test of time due to its systematic approaches.

Others beneficiaries thanked the management and staff of Messiah Grace Mission for their goodwill, transparent and holistic service which they described as a full Yuletide package for the village, Community and locality at large as they prayed God to enlarge their coast for more service to God and humanity.


The palliatives shared at the occasion included food items, all types of male and female clothes, shoes, drugs, clutches among others.
