Imo NUJ Hails Emma Njoku Foundation For Giving Back To Society
The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Imo State Council has commended a frontline humanitarian organization in Nigeria and beyond, Emma Njoku Foundation for its humanitarian impacts in the society especially as it relates to medical outreach and educational support to the downtrodden.
The Chairman, of NUJ Imo State Council, Comrade Ifeanyi Nwanguma JP gave the commendation at a recent outreach powered by the Emma Njoku Foundation in Owerri where thousands of books and medical equipments were donated to Tertiary institutions and health facilities across Imo state.
The books boxed in cartons labeled as “Books for Africa” according to the management, are to ensure the needy and the children of the needy can afford books among other stationery to go back to school as well continue their educational pursuits with ease even in the face of daunting economic challenges.

Speaking on the empowerment initiative, the Imo NUJ Chairman Comrade Nwanguma commended the management of the NGO for continually giving back to society in folds.
“I, Comrade Ifeanyi Nwanguma, Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, Imo State Council having seen the cartons of books and medical equipments donated to Imo State government by Emma Njoku Foundation, commend you for your humanitarian initiatives”
Nwanguma who expressed delight in the holistic humanitarian gestures of the foundation, stated the willingness of the Council to closely work with the management of the Foundation so as to further impact Imo people on a larger scale.
The Imo NUJ boss equally called on other foundations and good-spirited individuals to emulate the leadership style and empowerment Initiatives of the Emma Njoku Foundation, noting that their love for humanity is topnotch owing to their overwhelming outreach packages over time.

Speaking earlier on behalf of the Emma Njoku Foundation, Rev. Sis Elizabeth Njoku noted that the foundation has over the years impacted the society in health and education sectors.
She added that over two thousand persons in 2024 benefited from the health initiatives of the foundation while recounting the significance of the foundation’s “Back To School” programme, where the children of the poor are wholly cated for with their educational needs.
The Emma Njoku Foundation representative also noted that Over one Thousand bags of Rice have been shared within 2024 to cushion the effects of the harsh economy and expressed profound gratitude to Imo NUJ for its selfless partnership with Emma Njoku Foundation.
The Programme Manager of the Foundation, Maxwell Ezelagu in his remarks noted that, Emma Njoku Foundation is a registered Non profit organization in Nigeria that is championing Health, education and humanitarian interventions for the benefits of the needy and humanity.
According to him, ” as part of the activities lined up towards Celebrating the birthday of the Chairman, Barr Emma Njoku, the foundation donated a container load of books and medical, surgical equipments to Tertiary institutions and medical facilities in Imo State.”
He noted that, ” It is hoped that both the books and medical equipments will be beneficial to the good people of Imo State in line with the education and health objective of the Foundation.
