90th Birthday: Hon Pauline Duru-Rajis celebrates in Grand Style (Pictures & Videos)

It was a season of merriment as Hon. Mrs Pauline Eziafa Duru-Rajis in a grand style celebrated her 90th Birthday Anniversary amidst children, friends and notable dignitaries.
The high-placed event held on Friday, 21st December, 2018 at the Imo International Conference Centre, IICC, Owerri has in attendance the Governor of Imo state, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, his wife Dr Nkechi okorocha, the Deputy Speaker of Imo state House of Assembly- Hon.Ugonna Ozuruigbo, former Commissioner for Information, Imo state, Professor Nnamdi Obiaraeri, gospel artiste-Chinedu Nwadike amongst other personalities.
The ceremony which featured cutting of the birthday cakes, special appearances, live band, gospel and highlife rendition got everyone dancing as gift items were presented to the celebrant by family and friends.

In her remarks, Mrs Okorocha extolled Ezinne Eziafa for being an examplary mother despite the challenges she had during the war raising her children.

She said “It is a great honour celebrating her. Thank you for being an honor of what a good and caring mother ought to be, a woman of grace and substance with inestimable value. The governor has equally extended his good wishes to you, mama. Your children are very responsible because of good parenting”.
The First Son of the celebrant, Dr. Alex Rajis who narrated the early struggles of his mother to unite and solidly position her children said his mother is matriarch who has really worked hard to be celebrated by all.

He continued ” We are happy to celebrate a matriarch whose legacies will always be remembered and reckoned with. She is a woman of honour, generousity, and a mother who has imparted so many lives even at 90″
A daugher of the nonegerian and Former Ambassador to Singapore, Ambassador Nonye Rajis while expressing joy over the good health of her mother said they decided to honour their mother while she is alive to fulfil the scriptural instruction of honouring one’s parents hence tap into the annointing of long life.
“We thank God for the life of our mother. There is a lot of strength in her and we want to tap into that annointing that even at 90 years, she is still very strong and healthy”, Nonye expressesd.
She also prayed God for her mother to continue to gracefully grow old in wealth and good health.
Pastor Dr. Henrietta Jacobs who is also a daughter and the 8th child of Hon. Mrs Pauline Eziafa Duru-Rajis, in a short sermon tagged the joy of motherhood harped on the virtues of her mother as a complete compassionate woman and urged singe ladies, newly wedded and those yet to marry to emulate her lagacies of which she is celebrated.

She said “we are actually very excited that she has laid a very strong foundation of great character that we are celebrating today and above all that we have the opportunity to celebrate our mother at 90, while she is still alive.”
“Doors began to open for all of us when we decided to come home and celebrate her”, Pastor Jacobs continued.

Another daughter of the 90 year-old celebrant, who expressed happiness celebrating her mother’s birthday at 90 prayed for her to live long and always be happy.
“My prayers for her is long life, happiness, good health and for her to continue being compassionate and kind to all the people around her”.

She added that her mum is a giver and philantropist who opens her door every year to welcome and cater for the poor, needy neighbours during Christmas.

The first grand son of Ezinne Nwereugwu Pauline, Barrister Ndukwe Ibekwe thanked God for the life of his grand mother and prayed God for good life, health and more years to see her great-great grand children adding that Hon. Pauline Eziafa Duru-Rajis to attain another 90 years is possible with God.
Speaking to news men at the occassion, the founder and president of Rhema Life Church International who is also an inlaw to celebrant, Pastor Emmanuel Ezeka described Hon. pauline as a special woman of her own class and a rallying point to all who comes in contact with her and prayed for more years.

“I have known her for over 40 years as a son inlaw. she has the most beautiful, golden and diamond heart and does not bear grudges hence we decided to celebrate her”, he revealed.
The 90 year old mother of the former ambassador to Singapore from Umuduru Egwedu autonomous community in Njaba LGA, Imo state was surrounded and celebrated in grand style by 9 Chidren, 40 grand Children and 10 great grand children.
