THE NEW ELECTORAL LAW: Things you should know – Willie Amadi.
A renowned legal luminary in Imo, Chief Barrister Willie Amadi has given insights into the content of the New Electoral law that was harmonized and passed earlier in the year as a working tool for the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC’s constitutional duty.

Barrister Amadi added that the sections and clauses that make up the new working document of the electoral umpire will affect enemies of democracy as well as under-performing public holders who have been having their way all these while noting the consequences of going contrary to the law.
THE NEW ELECTORAL LAW:
1. No manual accreditation.
2. No use of incident forms.
3. All accreditation is electronic.
4. Accreditation is Bimodal meaning facial recognition and finger printing.
5. No pre-election cases after the conclusion of general elections..
6. No election cases after swearing into office of the winners.
7. All results must be uploaded to INEC official website at the polling units before taking it to Ward, LGA or State collation centers.
8. If the number of votes cast is more than the accredited voters the polling unit result is automatically cancelled.
9. No more agreement between parties to share the remaining ballot papers that were not used by voters in the elections.
10. No more massive thump printing and stuffing of ballot boxes. If you like go and steal ballot boxes you will be wasting your time. You cannot change the result again as results are transmitted on the spot at the booths online.
“NOTE VERY WELL that the people’s💪 votes and mandates will NOW count. If you didn’t serve the people well when in public office or you are not popular in your political locality, it is advisable to save your money because TODAY’S voters will collect the money and STILL vote against you.”
“Political parties logos MAY not count in 2023 election but candidate’s trust and acceptance MAY prevail.”
“Ballot snatching has FINALLY ENDED in Nigeria.🤣💃🕺

“Many thanks to President Muhammad Buhari and the 9th Assembly for this intangible delivery in our electoral process”
“PRAYER: We pray that the JUDICIARY will give FULL AND UNBIASED INTERPRETATIONS to these sterling provisions of the ACT in the adjudication of litigations before them so as to firm up our fledgling democracy. This will be the icing on the cake”
SO HELP US GOD !!! 🙏+++.
