Presbyterian Church holds 2nd Annual Imo Synod meeting in grand style

All is set for the hosting of The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Imo Synod second Annual Meeting as members gear up for the spiritual enrichment of the event.
Speaking to newsmen in Owerri, the Moderator of Imo Synod, Most Rev. Dr. Ogbu Thompson stated that the meeting is aimed at determining the spiritual direction and charging the members to always tow the path of righteousness and imbibe actions that ensure propagation of God’s kingdom.
Ogbu said the second Annual Synod meeting will gather the members of the church across the three Presbyteries that make up the Imo Synod, which include: Imo West Presbytery, Imo North Presbytery and Okigwe/Uturu Presbytery. He revealed that the two days program will start from Saturday, 7th and end on the 8th June at Uratta Parish in Amakohia Owerri by 8am.

Ogbu who’s also the minister In-charge of Owerri Parish Aladinma hinted that the meeting will feature business meeting that takes place on Saturday with recognition of Synod Mission Partners and Holy Communion holding on Sunday 8th of June with Rev. Joshua Okoro Obasi, PhD as the Guest Speaker for the event.
The Moderator who is equally the Vice Chairman, Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN), Imo State chapter noted that the church’s theme, “Vessels for Honour” (2 Tim 2 21) which talks about being vessels of honour unto good works will be elaborated the more same day. He urged christian faithful and lovers of God’s work to avail themselves of attending the event.
In his remarks, the Clerk of Imo Synod, Rt. Rev. Diogu Kalu Oleh pointed out that the meeting which will be hosted by Imo West Presbytery promises an exciting and exhilarating moment for the members of the church as prayers will be offered for the States of Southeast, members and Nigeria at large.
Diogu who’s the minister In-charge of Uratta Parish said the host Presbytery is ready to receive the large congregants of the church to the meeting which climaxes on Sunday with praises, worship and thanksgiving to God for preservation of lives of members.
