The newly elected chairman of Obowo Local Government Area (LGA), Barrister Obioma Ehirim, has committed to delivering good governance to the people of the LGA. Ehirim made this promise after receiving his Certificate of Return from the Imo State Independent Electoral Commission (ISIEC) in Owerri.

He emphasized his determination to bring the benefits of democracy to the grassroots, ensuring that the people feel the positive impact of government in various sectors. Ehirim vowed to fulfill the mandate entrusted to him by the electorate and to work diligently for the development of the LGA.

“I will not let the people down,” Ehirim stated. “I will do my utmost to ensure that the impact of government is felt. My priority is to provide the dividends of democracy and make sure my people are happy.”

Ehirim also called for peace and calm within the LGA, stressing that insecurity would hinder the growth and development of the council. He urged for a peaceful working environment to facilitate effective governance.

The chairman-elect expressed his gratitude to Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, for his leadership and guidance, promising to uphold the governor’s vision by delivering quality leadership to the people.
