This is stated by Mazi Ginika Okoro, a community leader from Ogwa, Mbaitoli, Imo State, while speaking with journalists, recently, in Owerri.
He said Chika Uju, who hails from Nkwerre community, Nkwerre local government area, Imo State, deserves to be appointed Special Adviser to the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie or given any other juicy position under the present administration led by Senator Hope Uzodinma, “because she has human face, having good background with respect and regard for old and young. A renowned journalist who is currently the News Editor, StarPost Newspaper, former Project Manager, Spectator Newspaper, served as Special Project Officer with Nigerian Horn Newspaper, once Project Manager with The Moment Newspaper, former Co-Publisher and Project Manager City Star Newspaper and former Admin Manager, The NewsBearer Newspaper published by Prince Marcon Nlemigbo, APC State chairman”.
Okoro who added that Chika Uju is a graduate of Government and Public Administration, Imo State University,Owerri with PGD in Journalism, IIJ, affiliated with University of Abuja and MSc in View, noted that “she had held and still holds some community leadership positions. A socialist and philanthropist who trains and sponsors some less -privileged on scholarship, very accommodating despite being a widow”.
Mr Okoro reflected that Chika Uju who is currently the State Coordinator, Urban WASH Media Network(USAID-E-WASH), Women Leader YPP, having been the APGA candidate for Nkwerre State Constituency in 2015 election and former Ex-officio Ward 2 Nnanano, Nkwerre under PDP, described her as a lady who plays politics devoid of bitterness.
Notably, Chika Uju, having great passion for journalism, attracted a Bus for NUJ under Sir Innocent Igwe tenure and promised to attract government presence to NUJ and beyond when given the opportunity to serve as SA Media to the present administration.
