Samdaddy: Salvage Imo Project Clears Air of Anti Party Accusations, Fingers Mischief Makers
The Imo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate for November 11, 2023 governorship election Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu has been exonerated from accusations of playing anti-party politics.
A justice and fairness-propelled group, Salvage Imo Project stressed that the PDP guber candidate, Senator Samuel Anyanwu after thorough investigation was certainly not involved in any anti-party activity, rather a mischievious scheme by opposition to rattle his personality and cause distractions.
Salvage Imo group in a statement signed by it’s President Mazi Jude Okafor pointed out that the anti-party indictments ought to be directed to some party members working for opposition parties to the detriment of their Flag bearer and party.
The group urged the people of the state and lovers of good governance to shun campaign of Calumny targeted to smear the reputation of Senator Anyanwu.
Mazi Okafor who recalled that the State is in quagmire as it has been ravaged by insecurity, poverty and hunger emphasized that only Senator Samuel Anyanwu has the wherewithal to resuscitate it.
The statement also advocated the enthronement of good governance in the state and maintained that Imo PDP is intact and focused on the goal and “not in shreds” as drummed by sponsored mischief makers.
Mazi Okafor, however queried the conscience of the mischief makers in the party and the basis for the alleged anti-party activities levelled against Senator Anyanwu (Samdaddy).
The president of Salvage Imo group drew an analogy of how a person who is holding the office of a Party National Secretary and flag bearer of same Party could play anti party role.
He therefore described the motive of the spoilers as ignorant and mischievous.
“Saying that Samdaddy is playing anti-party in Imo PDP while holding the National Secretarial position of the party is quite disturbing where the constitution of the party allows it hence could be noted as an advantage”
“How rationale can it be for a Guber Flagbearer as experienced and grassrooted as Samdaddy to allegedly destroy a party he is riding on to take over power in couple of months away?
Salvage Imo Project group further stressed that any PDP stakeholder in whatever guise blackmailing Senator Samuel Anyanwu is not doing the party any good.
The Statement added that the insinuations that Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu (Samdaddy) is not contesting in the forthcoming November 11 gubernatorial election is outrightly false as his candidature has over time shown readiness and capacity to run and win the race.
