Imo State and the Way Forward in 2023 Guber Elections …The I.U.K Nlem Esq. Instance

Imo state is a blessed state with Crude Oil and numerous other natural resources such as Natural Gas Petroleum, Lead, Calcium Carbonate, Zinc, Solar and Wind power. It is equally not left out with Intellectuals and best brains to access these Natural endowments but over the years, the system in place lacks the right approach of governance which ought be driven by the people, to the people and for the people in order to give all Imolites a sense of belonging in all matters affecting and partaining Imo State as has been negatively overturned by numerous past government after that of Dee Sam Mbakwe; that the masses are now yearning by day for a positive change in government by all means and at all reasonable cause because of the league of leaders and Governors who had governed the state in recent past.

Looking at the historical developmental strides of former Governor Dee Sam Mbakwe 39 years ago (from 1 October 1979 to 31 December 1983) and comparing with all we have had as businesses in governance i.e. Leadership, Governmental projects, socio- economic performances, the impacts of the Rule of Law are just scratches on the surface where there are supposed to be improvements in the record of what Dee Chief Sam Onunaka Mbakwe roundly achieved with people oriented leadership and projects approach.

Notably and frankly, Imo state is suffering from bad leadership and as such, the people are in dear need of a visionary and transformational leader as Governor and the man with the fear of God in him to return the gear and glory of development which has been on reverse and backwardly leading to nowhere but creating more hardship, insecurity, harm, misfortunes, unemployment, Youths restiveness, abuse on Women and Children and what have you.

Howbeit, the story of governance in Imo within the time in review can be best described as “What You Order Vs What You Get”, a system whereby every man is doing what he deems right in his eyes.
Honestly, it is heartbreaking from the way and manner politicians change like Chameleons upon mounting the position of Leadership, forgetting all the promises and assurances given to the masses during electioneering campaigns.

It is therefore very worrisome that no other Governor of Imo State have been able to work hard enough to be likened to Dee Sam Mbakwe in offering examplary life and much referenced leadership for over three decades and counting. It is high time the electorates in Imo State takes the bull by the horn by voting out these political dribblers and gamblers who have nothing to show or bring back home for the mandates given to them without much Ado.

The way to go about it all, is that all Imolites are enjoined to get their PVC intact, then choose and vote wisely to usher in the best out of all the would be Governorship candidates of all the existing 18 political parties in the State.

Drawing from the foregoing, there is a man with the strategic capacity, political sagacity, and resolute capability who seems to be the magical wand in changing the present ugly narrative of Imo governance, dastard ineptitude and clewless leadership outings with an overstretched corruption practices in high places.

The said man is the “Imo Grace Bearer” I.U.K Nlem Esq.of the ADC at this peculiar tasking time for salvaging and saving the soul of the State as an entity and her citizenry from the old stories of the past governments of Imo State.

The said renowned legal guru, Barrister Ignatius Ugochukwu Kevin Nlem the legal mind like that of Dee Sam Mbakwe of old is the man to reckon with in character and learning,fit and proper,competent and compellable at all fours and saddled with so many threats of magnetic personality and examplary leadership disposition having been around the political space as a leader for a while as the State Chairman of African Democratic Congress, ADC; the State Chairman Emeritus Inter- Party Advisory Council (IPAC)of Nigeria Imo State Chapter;the Deputy Governorship candidate of the said ADC Imo State,2019;a veteran servant in the Lord’s Vineyard (Church Wardens of ST.Mulumba’s Catholic Church, Owerri) Imo State as well as making seasoned waves in the Legal Profession Nationwide.

It is obvious that I.U.K Nlem Esq.is practically disturbed by the present anomaly in a long standing Imo debilitating and lack of people oriented governance made manifest in her day to day governmental businesses, hence, he is now in the race to grab the Governorship seat of Imo state and not to spare it,
he and he alone is poised to ensure an orderly way of doing things by making sure that the three arms of government functions independently under his watch. According to him, it is only when the three arms of government; Executive, Legislature and Judiciary are practically separated, that the government can work for the good of the people and ensure that the overall dividends of democracy are served to all Imolites and beyond.

The visionary legal expert and political pundit is a vocational cum professional who believes in even wealth creation and indiscriminate wealth sharing among Imolites and humanity in general, with the assurance of an egalitarian society where equal rights and justice prevails.

Barrister Nlem is in the race to consolidate Imo state democracy beyond flawed elections, and political rhetorics and theatrics. He is not out to tell stories as stories concerning Imo State are all over the places and have been told, and repeated over time, hence, no need to go the old-order, than to work the talks.

Moreso, to arrest the high level of insecurity, impunity and corruption pervading Imo State today, Barrister Nlem will initiate high impact development plan for the 27 local government Areas of the State.
