Nwokocha emerges new ECDU President General ||| NEWS CORNER

It was moments of jubilation and display of pomp and pageantry as Eziudo Central Development Union (ECDU) gets High Chief Bartholomew Nwokocha as the new President General.
In a keenly and peaceful contested election that took place at Dame Margaret Njoku hall of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Eziudo, Surveyor Nwokocha was declared winner having scored 65 votes.
Speaking to Newsmen after the announcement of the results, Surveyor Nwokocha said he was excited and pleased that the people have chosen him to serve as their President-General of ECDU, adding that he will bring his wealth of experience, contacts and connection to bear to the upliftment of the three autonomous communities of Eziudo which include Owahia, Umuoree and Egberemiri.
Nwokocha, a private surveying practitioner and the Managing Director, Rock Surveys Ltd, pointed out that having been done with the long awaited election, time has come to get to work for the development of Eziudo.

He said the development of the communities demand enormous sacrifice that must bring everyone on board. “For me, this victory is for all. No victor, no vanquished”.
“I appreciate all the stakeholders, especially the traditional rulers, BOT members for the roles in ensuring that the election took place”.
He hinted that the time to unite for the progress of Eziudo has come, stressing that Eziudo has great potentials that can put it on the pedestal of development.
Nwokocha commended the electoral committee headed by Zeph Ibe for a good work in conducting free, fair and transparent election.
Other executive members elected were: Vice President General (1), Engr. Chisom Ibekwe, Vice President General (2), Hon. Chikezie Nkemdirim Secretary General, Mr. Basil Okechukwu, Assistant Secretary, Ohia Chidiebere, Treasurer, Engr. Toochukwu Onwubiko, Financial Secretary, Mrs. Kama Augusta Nwasinachi, and Public Relations Officer, Henry Onyekanasa. Others are: Provost, Nwogwugwu Chinenye and the Legal Adviser, Barr. Chimaobi Nwoko.
