COVID-19: Former IMHA Contestant Extends Palliatives to Isiala Mbano Indigenes …salutes Uzodimma’s efforts to contain virus

Hon. Ezenna Nnanyereugo Okoro, who formerly contested for Isiala Mbano State Constituency Seat under APC, has given his people palliative food items to help them assuage coronavirus hunger effects.

The palliatives include, bags of rice, cartoons noodles, cartoons of tomatoes, cartoons of power oil, in addition to calendars containing the Covid-19 Preventive Guidelines/Measures.

The known philanthropist and investment merchant, through a release issued by his Media Aide, Engr. Chibueze Dikeoma, recently, at Isiala Mbano, said the palliatives were distributed across the 12 INEC Wards of Isiala Mbano LGA.

Okoro noted that the palliatives were procured via his humanitarian organization, Ezenna Foundation as he advised the beneficiaries to continue to observe precautionary measures to live safely from coronavirus, while supporting the government of Shared Prosperity manned by Governor Hope Uzodimma for improved democracy gains and prosperity for all persons.

Furthermore, Okoro applauded Governor Hope Uzodimma for his proactive steps towards combating coronavirus pandemic in Imo State, commending him for appointing thoughtful persons into his government and prayed that God imbues them them with wisdom and strength to be able to do the needful in order to recover, rehabilitate and reconstruct the state to the glory of God and good of the people.

According to Okoro, “Our Governor, His Excellency Hope Uzodinma, deserves accolade for the robust efforts of the Imo State Government in waging war against the dreaded Coronavirus Disease.

“I also want to appreciate him for all the appointments he made so far, because I am certain that with the caliber of people so appointed, Imo State will truly be reconstructed, rehabilitated and recovered, as he promised.”

Okoro, who was represented on the event by Comrade Kenneth Mbamara ( Eze Elect), stressed that the gesture was not politically motivated, but a way of helping the people cushion the economic effects of the Covid-19 outbreak.

The Obollo born philanthropist and politician, however assured that the Ezenna Foundation, which is known for its philanthropic gestures, would continue to join hands with government and other relevant organizations to fight against Coronavirus in the State.

In appreciation, the Coordinators of various wards in their speeches, appreciated the good spirit of the founder of the Foundation and prayed to God to continue to replenish and bless him abundantly.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, Mazi Sylvester Ugwunali, Mr Donatus Dike (an amputee), Mrs Phobi Uzowuru (also an amputee), Mrs Charity Chukwuezi (a cripple in a wheelchair), and others, posited that the Covid-19 outbreak has served as a litmus test to ascertain those who truly care for the needy.

They thanked Hon. Okoro for making it possible for the indigents of Isiala Mbano to benefit from the palliatives and expressed optimism that his likes are rare gem who are needed to often bring back the lost glory of the people of the locality.

The high point of the event was the passionate prayers made by the special citizens, requesting God to continually meet the benefactor at all his time of needs.
