Hon Ogbuagu Bags NUJ “Most Outstanding House Member Owerri Zone 2020” Award ||| NEWS CORNER

The Honourable Member Representing Ikeduru State Constituency in Imo House of Assembly, Amb. Uche Ogbuagu has been described as a principality and top notch as far as media industry is concerned in the country.
The encomium came through the Chairman Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, Imo State Council, Comrade Chris Akaraonye, while presenting the NUJ Legacy award 2nd edition 2020 reward for excellence to Amb. Uche Ogbuagu as MOST OUTSTANDING HOUSE MEMBER OWERRI ZONE 2020 on Friday March 20, 2021 at the conference Hall of Amb. Ogbuagu’s countryhome in Akabo Ikeduru area of the state.
According to the NUJ Boss, the award is in recognition of his immense contribution in the upliftment of humanity and having exhibited excellent professionalism in his career as a czar in the industry.

He praised Ogbuagu’s doggedness as the first Nigerian Artiste to open radio stations, sustaining them as well as being a role model to the younger generation of professionals in the field.
He declares that the marks which Uche Ogbuagu has made in the sector remains indelible.

Comrade Akaraonye explains that NUJ as a body in the country is highly appreciable of the landmark contributions which the icon has made before joining active politics.
The NUJ boss says that the award is given to individuals who have clearly distinguished themselves.
He says the award presented to the Ikeduru born Legislator was clearly and unanimously approved by the National office, which screened and found Ogbuagu worthy of the award which comes after 7 years.

For his part after receiving the award, Amb. Ogbuagu describes it as an act of God his emergence as a Legislator and recipient of the Legacy award.
As a media personality, he recognizes the role of the fourth estate of the realm in promoting the ideals and policies of successive governments but decries the non appreciation of the sector by most political leaders.
Amb. Uche Ogbuagu explains that time has come when the media family will employ synergy among them so as to be the watchdog of thThe award was dated November 18, 2020 but was presented to the Amb. Uche Ogbuagu today March 20, 2021 by the state NUJ Boss and the Consultant to the body Sir. Dr. Clement Nwachukwu.

The Award presentation took place today Friday March 20, 2021 at the conference Hall of Amb. Ogbuagu’s countryhome Akabo Ikeduru.
