15,000 ICT Empowered Imo Youths: Uzodimma’s victory is assured –Martins Ejiogu

A popular politician and the Special Adviser on Election Management to Governor Hope Uzodimma, Sir Martins Ejiogu (Ochendo), has firmly disclosed that the 15,000 digitally empowered youths of Imo State will strengthen Uzodimma’s winning in the forthcoming guber poll.
He gave the assurance when he spoke with newsmen in Owerri while celebrating the graduation ceremony of Cohot 2 SkillUp Imo Project recently.
Remarking that the Cohort 1 and Cohort 2 SkillUp Imo Projects through which 20,000 Imo people were effectively trained on Information Computer Technology (ICT), Innovation, Invention and empowered with HP Laptops and other items, hinted that the feat was a milestone which he added would make the beneficiaries economically independent thereby causing Imo to be a digital hub in South East.
Ejiogu outlines that ICT has globalized the world, brought humanity together, strengthened many economies of countries that invest hugely in it, reiterating that the digital feat by Uzodimma is worthwhile as the economy of the state would soar higher, saying unemployment, poverty, hunger, crime, violence will reduce minimally as youths have been meaningfully and richly engaged.
He emphasized that “the 20,000 empowered youths on digital skills is a first of its kind in the economic history of Imo State, Beneficiaries of the scheme will always have cause to smile”, praising the Governor for introducing a weekly youth digital skills competition to stimulate digital literacy, ingenuity and innovation in the youth.
Appreciating the Governor for achieving great feat in ICT, Innovation and Invention, Ejiogu described him as “a digitally driven Governor who has firmly proven leadership pragmatism, political will, mettle and intellectual ability to redefine Imo State”.
Urging the beneficiaries to harness the digital skills imbued in them to become useful and financially successful, the illustrious son of Isu LGA and a fine politician, appealed to the people of Imo State especially voters to give their second mandate to Governor Hope Uzodimma to enable him consolidate good governance in Imo State.
