Arimanwa Receives Primatial Award
The immediate past Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Rev’d Can. Engr. Dr. Michael Arimanwa, has been nominated to receive a primatial award next Sunday at the dedication of the Praise God Anglican Chaplaincy auditorium, Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri.
The award which will be presented by the Primate, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, His Grace, Most Rev’d Dr. Henry C. Ndukuba, is in recognition of the noble role played by Dr. Arimanwa in the development of the chaplaincy.
It will be recalled that the former Rector made selfless contributions to the building of the Church in both private and official capacities.
In a goodwill message, the Acting Rector of the Institution, Chemist C.C. Onyemenonu, felicitated Dr. Arimanwa, describing the primatial award as an affirmation of his exceptional commitment and dedication to the work of God.
In another development, Dr. Arimanwa has won the Global Digital Pacesetter of the Year 2023 Award. The said honour will be conferred on him in November by Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe Annual Award Lecture (DNAAAL) at Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Center, Abuja.
While preparations for the Zik award were ongoing, the former Rector was penultimate week given an award as the Most Outstanding Academician in Civil Engineering in far away Tanzania. The award was bestowed on him by the African Academia Conference and Awards. The honour was in recognition of his outstanding strides in the engineering profession as an individual and as Rector of a foremost educational institution.
In that event, the Federal Polytechnic Nekede also won an award as the Most Innovative Polytechnic in Mechanical Engineering.
