National Museum Owerri Partners With Waste To Art Project Nigeria

The management of National Museum Owerri have shown the interest to partner with Waste To Art Project Nigeria.

The Imo State Curator, Mr Chembalin Nwosu made this known when the group led by the initiator, Mr Bankole Oyindamola Ayomide an artist paid him a courtesy call in his office in Owerri.

Mr Nwosu said that the management will collaborate with the team because their vision of using waste like cellophanes, plastic, iron etc to produce art works is very important because museum interfaces with the children and members of the community in such act.

He expressed optimism that the collaboration will creat more awareness for the museum and help in curbing the menace of littering the entire State with waste materials like cellophanes and plastics round the State.

Earlier in his speech, the leader of the group Mr Bankole oyindamola Ayomide said the aim of the courtesy call is to seek the collaboration of Museum because according to him museum interfaces with the children and members of the community who are their target audience.

Mr Ayomide said the group uses waste materials like cellophanes plastic iron etc to produce art works.

He expressed joy collaborating with the manegement in this respect and appreciated the Curator Mr Chamberlain Nwosu for accepting to collaborate with the group.

Present at the courtesy call were the Curator and management staff of National Museum Owerri, the CEO Dera Soars and members of Waste To Art Project Nigeria.
