FEDPONEK Rector, Dr. Igbokwe leads top Polytechnic delegation to celebrate her Media Aide, Noble Uchegbu’s Child Dedication, Feast of joy
It was a radiant morning of laughter, music, and gratitude on Saturday, October 11, 2025, as Dr. (Mrs.) Basilia Nkemdilim Igbokwe, the Rector of Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri, led a strong delegation of senior officers to celebrate with one of her own, Mr. & Mrs. Noble Uchegbu Uchechukwu Zachariah at the dedication and thanksgiving of their adorable daughter, Baby Eliana Chukwuchetarem Zion Chioma.

The service, held at the Conquerors Church of God International (CCG) Rock Chapel, Egbu Road, Owerri, Imo State overflowed with joy and colour. It was not only a family celebration but also a beautiful reflection of faith and fellowship, coinciding with the church’s annual Feast of Tabernacles , a sacred festival symbolizing God’s enduring presence among His people and the fullness of joy found in His dwelling.
Delivering the sermon on the theme “ The Power of Sonship,” Rev. B. C. Abana, Primate and General Overseer of CCG Int’l, reminded the congregation that those who receive Christ are endowed with divine authority and identity. He urged believers to raise their children in the consciousness of this heavenly inheritance, walking daily as sons and daughters of light.
As the choir rendered hymns of thanksgiving, Dr. Igbokwe arrived surrounded by a formidable delegation, the Institution’s Bursar, Mrs. Chinyere Adanne Ojiuko; Dr. Charles Obichere (School Librarian); Dr. Anayo Uhiara (School Orator); Dr. Paul Saint Christopher (Dean of Students’ Affairs); High Chief Stanley Okorofor (Special Assistant on Minor Works); Dr. Paul Ikpe (Head, Social Sciences Department); and Chief Maxwell Obijuru (NOTSUP) with other aides of the Rector. Their presence filled the sanctuary with admiration and respect.

In her goodwill message, the Rector beamed with affection and spoke glowingly of her Media aide and staff of the School of General Studies and Social Sciences Department, Noble Uchegbu. She described him as “a creative mind, a devoted worker, and a loyal hand who has brought immense visibility and excellence to the Rector’s Media Office.”
“Zach’s commitment to duty is unwavering,” she said. “He represents one of the best of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede spirit passion, excellence, and integrity. Today, I am here not just as his boss but as a friend and family member to celebrate the grace of God in his home.”

The Rector’s presence stirred emotions in the congregation, not only for her humility but for her symbolic message of unity and love within the institution’s community.
In her remarks of appreciation to the church, Dr. Igbokwe fondly referred to Conquerors Church of God International as her spiritual home and to Primate Abana as “my life boss .” She pledged to continue supporting the church’s programs and developmental strides, stressing that faith and community service remain central to her personal and administrative philosophy.
Adding colour to the celebration were dignitaries from the University of Nigeria Alumni Association (UNAA), Owerri Branch, led by _Pastor Samuel Atulegwu (Branch Secretary) and Dr. (Mrs.) Pat Ekennia (former Branch President and Zonal Vice President, North East). Also present was a high-profile delegation from Hotel Arizona Limited, headed by its CEO, Chief Arinze Douglas Okeke, among many others from academia, media, and business circles.
The thanksgiving climaxed in a heart warming reception at Angello Water Front Garden, Egbu Road, where guests were treated to sumptuous delicacies, cultural music, and joyful toasts in honour of Baby Eliana.

For many who attended, the event symbolized more than a child dedication, it was a portrait of leadership that connects, of faith that unites, and of gratitude that inspires. Dr. Igbokwe’s presence once again demonstrated her rare sense of solidarity with her staff in their personal milestones, reflecting the human side of leadership.
As she steps into her second year in office, guided by her 11-Point Agenda, the Rector reaffirmed her vision to strengthen institutional harmony, celebrate excellence, and promote a culture of shared joy within the Polytechnic community.
