Baptist Women charged on Virtue at Mothering Sunday
Ikenna Orioha, OWERRI.

Baptist women are charged to uphold Godliness and good conduct in order to live fruitfully with their families at all times.
President, lmo Baptist Conference, Rev. Uzoma Uzoechi gave the charge while greeting Baptist Women during their 2020 Mothers Sunday Celebration.
Rev. Uzoechi while hailing the women for being united and committed to the service of God and humanity, said “I join the Nigerian Baptist Convention, Imo Baptist Conference and WMU Directors to welcome all our mothers and Churches to this 2020 Mother’s Day Celebration with the topic: A Mother with an Eagle Eye taken from Prov. 31:27,Hebrews,11:23”

Rev Uzoma Uzoechi
Uzoechi who informed that the Baptist Church Convention Mother’s Day Celebration, which is an annual programme, comes up on every Second Sunday of May, said he is “aware that the Coronavirus Pandemic has disrupted many Church programmes including this year’s Mother’s Day Event.
“Nevertheless, I wish to congratulate all our Mothers in our local Baptist Churches who observed theirs on Sunday, 10th May, 2020”
Dwelling on the passages of his Message, Uzoechi highlighted that a mother with an eagle eye “has an eye of faith as she always entrusts to God. Her eagle eye of faith sees the future’s fruitfulness. She never loses hope no matter the situation. Just as eagles soar without fainting, a mother with an eagle eye soars with spiritual vigour and commitment to God’s work. Also, such a woman is an industrious mother”
He added that “a mother with an eagle eye lives to eat the fruit of her labour. With her eagle eye, she protects her household. Her eagle eye is an eye of vision and makes an impact wherever she finds herself. So, she has an eye for God’s Eternal Kingdom and lives for it to impact others positively”.
