SA on Entertainment Congratulates New Imo AGN EXCOS, Charges Them to Move the Industry Forward

The Special Adviser on Entertainment to Imo Governor-Hope Uzodimma; Hon. Bobby Michaels Uchechukwu has congratulated the Newly elected executive members of Actors Guild of Nigeria(AGN) Imo state chapter while charging them to work closely together as a team to deliver on their promises at the polls as well as move the guild to greater heights in the state.
Hon. Michael gave the charge on Wednesday February 17,2021 when the expanded executive members of the film makers association in the state led by the chairman and one-time Deputy Governorship candidate in the state, Chief Dr. Nneoma Ukpabi called on him.
The SA who expressed happiness over the peaceful conduct of the candidates during the election, stressed the need to uphold peace and unity of purpose at all times and called on those who lost the elections to sheath their swords and join hands with the new Executives to ensure proper dividends for the guild.
“Together we are stronger, together we can and will achieve alot”, the renowned thespian said.
He reiterated the readiness of the state government to collaborate with Imo Entertainers to showcase talents, brands and enterprise while promising to help repackage the public image profile of the guild.
Speaking earlier, the newly elected Chairman of AGN Imo state, Chief Nneoma Ukpabi thanked the SA for a warm reception, and inputs during the election to see that there was equal level play-ground for all candidates adding that the executives will live up to expectations.
The Chairman emphasized that her mission was to take the guild to greater glory so as to ensure the protection of members welfare and guarantee their rise to stardom.
Also speaking, an award winning actor and poet who doubles as the Director of Communications and Public Relations Officer of Imo AGN, Chuma Mmeka while moderating the meeting, hinted that a new Chairman’s Advisory Board made up of seven
Mr Mmeka stressed the need for some members of the guild who meant otherwise for the association to be cautioned in order to save the guild’s image in the public domain.
An initial plan for executive action in and publicity package for the guild was presented to the Special Adviser, for his information.
Other Executive Officers present at the meeting were Prince Chikaodi Nwafor (Deputy Chairman), Royal Prince Cres Ugo (Secretary), Johnbosco Iwu (Financial Secretary), Emenike Ogali (Director of Guild Services D.G.S), and Uchebest Madumere (Chief Whip) who was unavoidably absent.
