Onyiriuka affirmed the promise while unveiling his manifestos to the people of Ohaji/Egbema during a rally recently.
He said he offered himself to lead a passionate drive for positive change as Executive Chairman because he wants the people to overcome poverty, hardship and hence live peacefully, prosperously, joyously and comfortably at all times as nature demands.

“With vision, sincerity of purpose, openness, transparency and accountability, we can achieve good and greatness. Some of my manifestos geared to lift Ohaji/Egbema to an enviable height are:
“I will make our people to benefit, enjoy their oil and gas proceeds from companies, government which are being denied them, improve infrastructure/public utilities in line with local government laws, maintain and upgrade rural roads, ensure their prompt repair when necessary. This will alleviate the difficulties our people face in accessing parts of the local government.
“Again, we will renovate, equip public schools, construct new classrooms to create conducive learning environments for our children. All dilapidated health centers will be rebuilt, strengthened to promote effective primary healthcare delivery. Digital skills training, human capital development, youth re-orientation and empowerment are going to be addressed. My administration will strive to reduce extreme poverty by creating a more inclusive society through human capital development. In today’s world, proficiency in digital skills is highly valuable. We will fund well-organized digital skills training programs for our young people, engaging top professionals in the field.
“Assuredly, we will implement re-orientation programs to broaden the mindset and mentality of our youths, build a population that is not only skilled, but also responsible for their personal growth and the development of their communities.
“Graduates of these training programs will receive continued support to ensure their success. We will support local businesses with cash grants and guide business owners in accessing government loans that are favorable to entrepreneurs. In doing so, we can boost the economy, create a safer environment by reducing the number of youths involved in illegal activities”, he harped.
On market development and environmental sanitation, Onyiriuka stressed that he will stop at nothing to rebuild several rural markets to modern standards, saying clean, healthy environments are invaluable, just as regular sanitation exercise across the LGA will be enforced to ensure cleanliness and hence strengthen the beauty of Ohaji/Egbema.
He said “agricultural development will be promoted with crop cultivation and livestock farming being advanced by partnering with relevant government authorities to ensure that our farmers receive agricultural loans and access to improved seedlings. We will provide farmers with up-to-date information in their areas of expertise so they can implement modern farming techniques. They will also be equipped with modern farming tools, which will maximize productivity, reduce post-harvest losses. This initiative will boost the local economy, enhance food security”.
Stating that supporting education advancement is a cause that boils in his heart, Onyiriuka hinted that his leadership will bring excellence in education with teachers who demonstrate skill, passion, dedication being encouraged, rewarded with the Chairman’s Award, which will come with significant financial and material incentives. “We will also renovate, rebuild our public schools, we will engage students in essay, science, skills competitions to foster excellence, hard work. Scholarships will be awarded to bright students, as well as those from under-privileged homes”.
