Gov Uzodinma Appoints 27 LG Sole Administrators Ahead of Polls
Imo state governor, Hope Uzodimma have approved the appointment of Sole Administrators for the Twenty-seven (27) local government areas of the state.
According to a release made available to news men on Monday, May 13, 2024 by the Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation, and Strategy, Hon Declan Emelumba; the appointments are geared towards ensuring a hitchfree and credible local government elections in the state within sixty (60) days time frame.
“To ensure the conduct of a credible local government elections in the state in the next 60 days, His Excellency, the governor of Imo State, Sen Hope Uzodimma has approved the appointment of sole Administrators for the 27 local government areas”
The release further states that the appointments are with immediate effect .
The appointed Sole Administrators includes Hon. Okoroike Chika for Isiala Mbano, Dr. Obi Emeka P for Onuimo, Hon. Sir Acho Asiegbu for Okigwe, Barr. Obioma Ehirim for Obowo and Chief Uche Nwodu for Ehime Mbano.
Others who made the list are Hon. Barr. Chukwuma Godson Onyema for Ihitte Uboma, Hon. Okwaraigwe Nnamdi for Oru East, Hon. Ibekaeme Friday for Orsu while Barr. Isaiah Chinedu Ezeogu is appointed for Orlu local Government area.
Dr. Abiaziem Chima is appointed to serve Oguta as Engr. Ikenna Adikibe heads Oru West alongside Hon. Chief Onyeaju Princewill for Ohaji/Egbema.

21. Mbaitoli : Nwanegwo Ifunanya
22. Ikeduru: Hon. Justice Nzeh
23. Aboh Mbaise: Chief Nnamdi Anyanwu D
24. Ngor Okpala: Hon. Kizito Onuoha
25. Owerri West: Hon. Nwankwo Victor
26. Owerri Municipal: Engr. Chidiebere Emeribe
27. Owerri North: Hon. Lucky Abaronye
