Outrage as Ambassador Chika Uju Condemns Killing of Woman, Six Children in Kano
ThankGod Emeh….
A wave of condemnation has continued to trail the gruesome killing of a 35-year-old woman, Fatima Abubakar, and her six children by unknown assailants in Dorayi Chiranchi Quarters, Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State.
The attack occurred at about 12:10 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2026, when the assailants invaded the family’s residence and attacked them with dangerous weapons. The victims were rushed to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital, Kano, but were pronounced dead on arrival by medical personnel.

Reacting to the incident, a renowned journalist and woman leader, Ambassador Chika Uju, strongly condemned the killings, describing them as “very disheartening” and a reflection of the worsening security situation in the country.
“The death of seven family members killed by bandits is very disheartening. I can’t comprehend where we are heading to in this country called Nigeria,” she said.

Ambassador Uju expressed deep pain over the murder of a mother and her six children, stating that the act was senseless and evil.
“Mother and six children murdered for no reason. God forbid evil. This country needs to be cleansed of bandits, terrorists, kidnappers, and organ harvesters,” she added.
She further called on security agencies and the Kano State Government to take decisive action against those responsible for the attack.
“The wolves should face the music. Those behind this evil act should not be left out,” she said, urging authorities not to treat the case with levity.
“My heart is broken each time my mind crosses the nasty incident that took place in Kano just yesterday, January 17, 2026. Kano State Government should take drastic action against these bloodsuckers called bandits, terrorists, or gunmen,” Ambassador Uju stated.
She also demanded a thorough investigation into the incident, insisting that all those involved must be brought to justice.
“Let this gruesome murder not be treated with kid gloves. An in-depth investigation should be carried out to fish out the real masterminds. The messengers must be made to confess,” she said.
Meanwhile, security agencies have reportedly launched investigations into the attack, as residents of the area continue to mourn the tragic loss and call for improved security to prevent further incidents.
