NUJ S’East Zonal Secretary, Adiuku Bags Award of Excellence Amid Cheers…

The Secretary of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ South East, Comrade Eze Adiuku, has bagged a meritorious award of all-round Excellence tagged “Gideonite Award” from St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Orji, Owerri North, Imo State.

Presenting the award at the church’s Beautiful Gate Family’s “2024 Harvest of Divine Invitation and Divine Visitation” held on Sunday, October 20, 2024, the Priest in charge of St. Barnabas Anglican Church Orji, Rev Benjamin Maduchukwu alongside the Beautiful Gate Family (BGF) leader, Sir Oliver Chikwem JP lauded Eze Adiuku for his immense unalloyed service to God, the church and society, adding that such Honour is given to whom merits it by all standard hence urged him to keep the fire burning as the Gideonite Award reads “In recognition of your (Ezinna Ezenwa Adiuku) time, talent, treasure, zealousness and burning desire for God’s kingdom expansion”.
Speaking further on the theme of the occasion, “Working for the Master’s Reward…”, Rev. Maduchukwu urged the congregants to be steadfast in the service of God, noting that their attitudes and level of commitment speak volumes of God’s acceptance and abundant mercies in return.
Rev Maduchukwu emphasized that wholehearted sacrifices to God have life-transforming rewards while citing the roles and dividends of Abel, the poor widow of the Bible, among others.
Receiving the award, Comrade Ezenwa Adiuku thanked God for His enablement While expressing appreciation to members of the Beautiful Gate Family (BGF) as well as the church for the Honour.

Comrade Adiuku while dedicating the award to his wife, family as well as the BGF members and church in general for their support, however, promised not to relent, adding that “the only reward for hard work is more work”.
He charged the congregants to be alive to their responsibilities, obligations and service to God and the church, noting that it pays to serve God as He rewards abundantly.
The occasion was characterized by fanfare, as the congregants beamed with smiles, danced and appeared in full Thanksgiving mood.
