South East NUJ lauds Mbutu-Nweorie Monarch for chieftaincy conferment on Vice President
As Community crowns Eze Emeh Ubaoha II December 31

The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Zone C, (South East), has commended the Traditional Ruler of Mbutu-Nweorie Autonomous Community in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of lmo State, HRH Eze Anthony Emeh, over his selection of the NUJ South East Vice President, Comrade Ezenwa Adiuku JP, for conferment of chieftaincy title as ‘CHINAETUGO’. This is as HRH Eze Emeh will be crowned as Ubaoha II by his community on December 31, 2025.
In a letter of commendation signed by Secretary of South East NUJ, Comr Emmanuel Idam lrem, and made available to the media, Sunday, the South East NUJ, described the Royal recognition to the Union’s VP, as a testament to Adiuku’s good conduct and behaviour in the society and community, while expressing profound gratitude of the Union for the honour.
Comr Irem, therefore, pledged the unon’s total support to the Monarch’s kingdom and expressed confidence that the NUJ Vice President will not disappoint him and would contribute in his own way towards the development of his Mbutu-Nweorie community.
The South East NUJ, however, congratulated the royal father and his Eze-in-Council for the choice of its leader for the traditional honour.

Eze Adiuku
It will be recalled that the South East NUJ Vice President, Comrade Ezenwa Adiuku was elected the Zone C Secretary of NUJ at Umuahia Triennial Conference in 2021, and was re-elected last year at the Owerri Triennial Delegates Conference, held in lmo State. At the 2025 National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the NUJ in the ancient city of Kano, he was unanimously elected as the Vice President for South East NUJ.
