Imo State Leadership In Diaspora Forum Worldwide Holds Summit January 4

The Imo State Leadership in Diaspora Forum worldwide comprising of Imo State organizations from more than 40 countries said it is set to hold a statewide Diaspora summit aimed at projecting the state to attain enviable economic heights on January December 4, 2025.

Venue: Protea Hotel and Suites, Owerri, Imo State.

The President General of the Forum and President Emeritus Imo State Congress of America, Chief Sampson Udeh made the announcement in a press briefing held in Owerri on Friday December 27, 2024.

Chief Udeh flanked by his members High Chief Louis I. Ononiwu – Director of Media and Strategy & President General Imo State Union Cote d’Ivoire; Hon. Cyprain Ofoegbu Ezem – Treasurer & President Ndi Imo na Belgium and Hon. Samuel Uche Ugwuegbu – Member $ President Imo Progressive Union Madrid Spain, emphasized that the upcoming Summit with the Theme “ALA IMO GA-DI NMA” is dedicated in addressing the economic challenges facing ndi Imo and proffering solutions.

The Imo Diaspora leadership added that the Programme will not only cut across all sectors of the state and country in general but will certainly provide job and business opportunities in the areas of Healthcare, Education, Manufacturing among others.

“Imo State Leadership in Diaspora worldwide comprising of Imo State organizations from more than 40 countries is a testament to the global reach and determination of our people. Our organization is dedicated in addressing the economic challenges facing ndi Imo and proffering solutions”

The leadership of the Forum added that “the summit will feature keynote addresses, panel of discussions, and networking sessions focused on economic growth, preservation of cultural heritage, and the role of Imolites in diaspora in contributing to the development of Imo State and the need for adequate security in our dear Imo State”

They noted that the objectives of the summit are “To Promote economic growth and development in Imo State, foster collaboration between diasporans through their leaders, Imo State Government and stakeholders as well as develop actionable strategies for sustainable progress”

“Key Messages of the summit will focus on the economic growth and development in Imo State, preservation of cultural heritage and traditions and the role of Imolites in diaspora in contributing to the development of Imo”

“The business opportunities in imo state are Agribusiness, Healthcare, Education, Power and Energy, Creative Entertainment, Manufacturing, Real Estate, Tourism, Oil & Gas Industry, IT Industry/Telecoms and Petrochemical Industry”

Speakers expected to share their insights and experiences at the Summit include Renowned experts and leaders, Dr. Jovita Anyanwu and Ugorji O. Ugorji.

The summit is however open to all and sundry especially Imo State indigenes, diaspora community members, business leaders, policymakers, among others interested in contributing to the development of Imo State.
