NUJ Congratulates Gov Ihedioha, Urges Him not to be Distracted

The Imo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ has congratulated Governor Emeka Ihedioha on his victory at the appeal court, Abuja, describing it well deserved.

The NUJ, Imo state Council in a press release issued by the Chairman of the union, Chief Chris Akaraonye states the victory of Governor Ihedioha is an Act of God and the revalidation of Imo peoples mandate having defeated three candidates who filed suit against his victory in the March 9, 2019 Imo governorship election.

According to the release, “Now that the storm is over, the NUJ enjoins your Excellency to extend an olive branch to all in the spirit of your Excellency’s mantra to REBUILD IMO STATE.”

“Your Execellency should galvanise resourceful person no matter their political affiliations in this onerous task of decadence.”

The NUJ also call on the litigating opponents to accept the verdict of the court which is the verdict of Imo people and accept the extention of his Excellency’s olive branch for the interest of Imo State.

“They should join hands with Governor Ihedioha’s mantra to REBUILD Imo State to the collective dream of Imolites.”

The NUJ in the relase pledged its unalloyed support to the Rebuild Imo Administration, stressing that the government should be rest assured that the union as a change agent in society is a development partner to the administration.
