According to the founder, the gathering was aimed at capturing the needy Widows and streamlining their welfare packages from the NGO to cushion the economic effects in the country.

Speaking further, Ambassador Uju stressed that the gesture is in good faith to ensure all Widows, especially the needy, are well cared for going forward.
“I decided to call for this gathering to celebrate the Widows, their resilience and sacrifices over time because I know their plights and this is to find better ways of helping them from the welfare scheme of my Uju Charity And Empowerment Initiative, UCEI”

“I had helped some during the Inauguration of UCEI but I think there is need to broaden the reach to accommodate all especially the needy among the Widows because the Foundation is poised to change humanitarian initiatives across boards by reaching those who need assistance indeed”
“This gesture/initiative is not fraud and cannot be. I love giving and assisting one another hence this is the little way I am trying to live up to the call”

Ambassador Uju seized the occasion to dedicate a meritorious Award of excellence given to her by Ukwuinyi Nnanano Village in Nkwerre LGA owing to her immense contributions to the development of the village, community and LGA at large.
She however dedicated the Award to God for the gift of life, her family, friends and the widows for their support and encouragement to keep the flag flying while assuring the people of her unrelenting resolve to be alive to all expectations, while calling on the people to be good citizens.

“I dedicated this Award first to God for without Him, I would not be here. I also dedicate it to my late husband for laying the “Charity” foundation, my children and to the Widows for all your sacrifices”
The women who could not contain their joy, expressed utmost appreciation for the gestures and prayed God to abundantly bless Ambassador Chika Uju amid commendations and goodwill messages.

One of the widows, Mrs Oriaku Ajomiwe who extolled Ambassador Uju for the heartwarming programme, stressed that the UCEI founder’s steadfastness is topnotch hence her generous lifestyle calls for emulation, adding that the founder gives to a fault.

Mrs Ajomiwe however prayed God to strengthen her for greater exploits while urging the Widows to love one another, live peacefully with all and look up to God for perfection.
“May God bless Ambassador Chika Uju for her show of love. I pray that she will live to reap the whole fruit of her labours as she will continue to record success stories in all her endeavours”.
