Ideato leaders of thought hail Uzodimma on road construction …Demand recall of Ugochinyere Ikenga
Leaders of thought of Ideato North and South local government areas have thanked Governor Hope Uzodimma for his rich interventions on infrastructure especially on road projects, saying no Governor in the state had affected the people so positively as Uzodimma, who they described as a man with good heart.
The stakeholders gave the commendation during a meeting convened by the APC South East National Vice Chairman, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, held at Mgbe Hall, Ideato South, on Friday.
Over 5000 indigenes of Ideato Nation comprising politicians, traditional rulers, religious heads attended the meeting and appraised state of affairs bothering on the progress and prosperity of the localities.
Thus, the leaders, in a communique raised at the end of the forum, commended Governor Hope Uzodimma for his rich interventions in addressing infrastructure needs and challenges of Ideato Nation, pointing out that Governors who came and left did not affect the areas so positively as Uzodimma has done and is doing today.

The Convener of the meeting, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, who is the South East APC National Vice Chairman, noted that the forum was geared in solidarity of Uzodimma on his good leadership and deep love for Ideato Nation, hence his touch of quality infrastructure particularly on road projects therein.
According to Arodiogbu, “although, these Roads are Federal Roads and were neglected by previous administrations, Governor Hope Uzodimma who was touched by the burdens and needs of the people had resorted to construct these roads to mitigate the suffering. We are very thankful. We indeed commend the Governor for the timely and speedy completion of the 22- kilometer Orlu- Mgbee- Akokwa Uga Road.
“We are here to show solidarity to the Governor for his strides in areas of security, education, healthcare, appointment and infrastructure in Ideato Nation especially the 22 kilometer Orlu-Mgbee-Akokwa-Uga road which has ensured connectivity between the two LGAs and beyond”.
In the same vein, the stakeholders had unanimously adopted the motion for the recall of the Member representing Ideato North and South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ikenga Ugochinyere, over what they termed as poor representation.
The leaders added that Ideato North and South Constituency had never had it this bad with such a poor representation as matters crucial to the Constituency have been neglected, stating that they would soon institute a “process for the Recall of Ikenga Ugochinyere as enshrined in the Constitution, the Electoral Act and the extant INEC guidelines as the Constituency is in much need of quality representation”.
