SIAS Conference: Science and Engineering, the Bedrock of Humanities and Science in Federal Poly Nekede — Engr Arinwanwa says

Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri, Engr Dr Michael Chidiebere Arimanwa, had commended the Management of School of Industrial and Applied Sciences, SIAS, for organizing the First International Conference of the Industrial and Applied Sciences in the Polytechnic.
The Rector gave the commendation while declaring the Maiden Conference Open.
The Conference, which is holding at ASUP Solidarity Complex, Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri, is billed to last 5days, having theme as “Science and Technopreneurship as Tools for National Development”.
Arimanwa hinted that Science and Engineering are important to the School as Science is the bedrock of humanity whereas Engineering is the bedrock of Science, encouraging lecturers and students to always avail themselves of the chance to involve in such a rich academic conference to improve their study, vowing that the Institution would continue to invest in Science, Engineering and Technology(ICT) to move the society on.
Assuring that the Polytechnic will be firmly positioned in Research and Development, Dean, School of Industrial and Applied Sciences, SIAS, Bassey O. Orie, said the Stimulating Conference would turn things around positively in the State and the World entirely as the Universe has been evolving technologically.
Just as the Local Organizing Committee Chairman of the Conference, Dr J.A.L Effiong, added that Science and Engineering are critical to the development of every society while hailing the Rector of the School for encouraging the study of Science and Engineering in the Citedal of Learning.
Papers were presented on the Conference sound academics, as students especially those graduating were fully in attendance.
