Politics Is Not For “Born Again People” Without Integrity- Hon. Nkechinyere Ugwu
The Imo State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Gender and Vulnerable Groups, Hon. Nkechinyere Ugwu has described Politics as a dangerous, dirty game not meant for Christians except those with proven integrity.
Hon. Ugwu made the statement Tuesday when Heaven Link Believers International Network, INC (HELBIN) team; a Christian nondenominational and socio-political group led by the Founder, Rev. Comrade, Emmanuel Omeokwe paid a courtesy visit to her Office.
She stated that she doesn’t think Born Again children of God in Nigeria are ripped for a kind of politics being played in Nigeria except the ones who are truly called by God into politics like herself, else that Born Again will be messed up.
“That believer won’t survive it except for the intervention of God, because you will step on toes while trying to do the right thing and by trying to do the right thing you will be blocking or standing on the ways of those who eat through the avenues of crime, malpractices and irregularities; and you know stepping on toes means you are ready for attacks that will either take ones life or dent ones image( Blackmail and you’re going to be messed up). It’s only spiritually wise Christian politicians that rarely survive politics in Nigeria”, Hon Ugwu added.
The Commissioner thanked the team for the visit saying she is truly pleased to come in contact with HELBIN Group.

Commenting on the visit, the New Media/Publicity Consultant of HELBIN Group, Prince Joseph Nwosu-Okorie who described HELBIN as a group that believe strongly that Heaven on Earth is possible, stated that the group, “HELBIN is committed to ensuring that Christians that are holding one public office or the other maximize the privileges their offices provide to champion distinct courses and in affecting lives positively, which by doing so enables or makes it easy for the public or the masses to easily differentiate between the godly public office holders and the ungodly public office holders”
“Today I accompanied the founder, Heaven Link Believers International Network, INC. (HELBIN) and Publisher Restoration Magazine, Rev. Comrade, Emmanuel Iyke Omeokwe to the Office of the Imo State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Gender and Vulnerable Groups, Lady Hon. Nkechinyere Ugwu on an official and vision sharing visit”

In line with the familiarization visit, the Founder of HELBIN who doubles as the Publisher of Restoration Magazine, Rev. Omeokwe disclosed to the Honourable Commissioner, Women Affairs, Gender and Vulnerable Groups that HELBIN is currently mobilising and drumming support for as many Christians who are willing to join politics all over the states of the federation so as to change the ugly narrative in the system.
“Christians have since inception of Nigeria’s Democratic Government have been playing prodigality in issues bothering political leadership in the country and it’s high time we stopped sitting on the fence and be expecting a miraculous change for good governance in Nigeria”
He further told the Commissioner to encourage her children and Christians she knows to embrace politics for impact while adding that dirtiness attached to politics that makes Christians to shy away from it is an invention of the ungodly people in politics which happens to be one of the mechanisms or devices used in scaring Christians from participating in politics which according to him shall discontinue to be effective on the Christian Community henceforth especially on the Christians intending to run for one political office or the other.

At the end of the auspicious meeting, Hon. Lady Nkechinyere Ugwu promised to partner with the HELBIN Group in various ways both in her personal capacity and through government collaborations under the auspices of the State Ministry of Women Affairs and Vulnerable Groups.
The meeting ended with an encouraging gifting session from both parties.
