Matriculation/Convocation Ceremonies At Alive Theological Seminary End in Grand Style …As Chancellor Calls For Regulation Of Clergy In Nigeria
The Chancellor of Alive Theological Seminary, Prof. Uzoma Emmanuel Afamefuna has called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to enact laws that will regulate the clergy in the country.
Prof. Uzoma made the call during the Seminary’s convocation and matriculation ceremonies that were simultaneously held last week in Owerri, Imo state.
At the occasion, Professor Uzoma expressed concern over the spate of increase of untrained pastors who he said usually perpetrate the spreading of false prophesies and teachings in the society which he believes are leading some members of churches into chaos.

According to the Chancellor, these individuals are not in any way divinely called and as well as lack the requisite training to pastor churches.
Prof. Uzoma therefore urged the law enforcement agents to move into action by arresting and prosecuting such persons in order to check their excesses.
The ceremony which was chaired by Apostle Dr. Canice Okeke Anelechi had four notable individuals that were honoured with awards, five ordained as pastors, 20 matriculated and 10 convoked as graduates.
The Chancellor commended the efforts of the lecturers, encouraging them to raise the quality and standards of the institution.
Prof. Uzoma hailed the quality of training at Alive Theological Seminary and invited prospective students to enroll in the higher institution.
He disclosed that admission for the new students is still ongoing.
Alive Theological Seminary is known to be a Non-denominational theological school that trains both men and women, ordains and licenses them at the end of their training.
The institution has campuses in Owerri, Imo state and Port Harcourt, Rivers with an online school offering diploma and degree programs.
