Nigeria Customs Service Records N1.35trn in 2019
The Nigeria Customs Service says it generated a total of N1.34trn revenue for the government in the 2019 fiscal year.
The Public Relations Officer, NCS, Joseph Attah, confirmed the figure in a statement issued in Abuja.
The figure represents an increase of N403.72bn over the N937.28bn target which the Federal Government had
The Comptroller-General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ali (rtd.), said the service was able to achieve the result by implementing series of reforms.
The reforms include the strategic deployment of officers strictly using the standard operating procedure, strict enforcement of extant guidelines and automation of the Customs process.
