Imo State Bloggers Holds Webinar on Covid19 Misinformation May 21
Members of Imo State Bloggers Association (ISBA) are warming up for a Webinar to enlighten bloggers, social media influencers and other members of the public on the dangers of misinformation in this Covid-19 era.

The webinar which is tagged ‘REPORTING COVID19 AND MISINFORMATION ON SOCIAL MEDIA’, according to the President of the association, Comr. Chinedu Hardy Nwadike, will go a long way in changing the Covid19 narrative on the Imo State sphere of the social media especially.
Comr. Nwadike who revealed that the event is open for everyone, said they are targeting bloggers and social media influencers who are their members and other who are not.
“The misinformation is often not deliberate because people can’t give what they don’t have, so we want to ensure our people have the right knowledge and also know how to source them”
“We have resource persons who will be explaining terms and procedures, while others will be talking about the security challenges in this era and how to go about them”

“Our main aim is to get bloggers and social media users up to speed, because if they must deal with information; they have to do it the right way.
A medical practitioner with National Center For Disease Control (NCDC) Rapid Response Team in Imo State- Dr. Chinemerem Dan Onwuliri, the Imo State Police Command Public Relations Officer (PPRO) -SP Ikeokwu Godson Orlan, alongside Chinedu Hardy Nwadike are some of the speakers expected while Jety Adaugo Mbaegbu will be moderating the event which will be taking place on Zoom.
