JusticeForSylvester: Fast Rising Poet, Prayerlife Joins Fight with a Poem “The Crying Corpse of Sylvester”

Following the news of the tragic killing of Sylvester Oromoni, a student of Dowen College, in Lagos, a fast rising poet, Praerlife Nwosu has joined the fight by well meaning Nigerians to bring Justice for the deceased and his family.

Prayerlife narrated how painful it can be for a youngster to face pressures of bullying and intimidations of alleged cultists trying to initiate him into their cult group hence demands justice.

The Crying Corpse of Sylvester

Hear my cries all you men of the earth
I have been forcefully sent to my tent
Few days to the day of my birth
Poor Sylvester you shouldn’t forget

Bloody torments received in the dark
Painful hits unleashed with a bark
Screams and cries silenced with blows
Mourning in pains as my tears flow

Dowen College

Men with black hearts have risen against me
Even at the tent of rest they accuse me
Working endlessly to sweep away my death
Lies upon lies they create and set

Oh great mother earth!
My predators boost of freedom with a bet
Over my refusal to join a secret cult
My destiny was stabbed and cut

Why do I see the carcass of my name?
Lying so cold in the spiritual realm
As I sleep cold in the mortuary
With echoes of my painful obituary

Tell my Mom that her baby boy loves her
Tell my sister that her kid bro misses her
Tell my Dad to fight for me
Tell karma to rise and fight for me.
