Speaker Imo House Of Assembly Impeached, Replaced By Kennedy Ibeh, As Former Deputy Speaker Bounces Back
In what seemed a magic, and well plotted epic movie, had six members of the Imo State House of Assemby, Monday November 8, 2021, removed the Speaker of the House, Rt Hon Paul Emeziem.
The impeached speaker was replaced by Hon. Kennedy Ibeh, a two term house member representing Obowo State Constituency while the impeached Deputy Speaker, Iwuanyanwu was reinstated.

It became a thing of concern when stern looking security operatives stormed the Assembly Complex and prevented the Speaker, Paul Emeziem from entering the Assembly premises.
Alerting the general public on the fast move today at the state Assembly earlier, a renowned On-Air Personality in the state, Nonso Nkwa, who took to his social media handle queried why an impeached Deputy Speaker could be seen with heavy security men alongside six house members headed to the Assembly Complex.
He decried the development as clear political and unfortunate development for the state house of Assembly in recent times while urging the house members to respect themselves as well as conduct themselves in honorable manners.
Other concerned citizens who spoke with our crew imagined how a suspended principal official of the House could be part of unclear process of impeaching and electing a new Speaker.

Recall, the drama came a week after 18 lawmakers had impeached the Deputy Speaker on grounds of incompetence.
The development is said to be backed by powers that be in the state government, having materialized same Monday the Governor is billed to meet with the state lawmakers.
