Imo Signage Agency Hosts 6 Southern States’ Regulatory Agencies July 14

The Imo State Signage and Advertisement Agency, IMSAA is set to hold Signage regulatory agencies from six states in the southern part of Nigeria in Owerri on Wednesday July 14, 2021.
According to the Director of Communications of Imo Signage Agency, Mr Micheal Onuoha, the recently formed group of regulatory agencies by the name- ‘Southern States Signage Regulators Forum’, which comprises of Abia, Anambra, Cross River, Enugu, Rivers and Imo state Signage and Advertisement Agencies will be meeting in the state to deliberate on important issues as concerns the agencies and their line of work in the states.

Speaking also, the General Manager of Imo Signage and Advertisement Agency (IMSAA), Hon. Chibuzor Umunnakwe said the group was formed with the objective of achieving collaboration among the members and for exploring ways and means of attracting investment into the region through their regulatory activities.

“The formation of the Southern States Signage Regulators Forum marks the first time in Nigeria, that signage regulatory agencies in a region are coming together to collaborate and pursue common interests in their region”, Hon. Umunnakwe added.
The Signage Regulators Forum comprises the Abia Signage and Advertisement Agency (ABSAA), Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency (ANSAA) and Cross River State Signage and Advertisement Agency (CRISSAA) as well as Enugu State Structures for Advertisement Agency (ENSSAA), Imo Signage and Advertisement Agency (IMSAA) and Rivers State Signage and Advertisement Agency (RISAA).
It will be recalled that one of the members of the Forum, IMSAA, was established in December 2019 to regulate, control and manage the signage and outdoor advertising environment in Imo State, which includes but not limited to regulation and control of placement of billboards and other outdoor signs, signages in business outlets, brand activations and events, temporary signs, and mobile advertisement, among others.
