Imo NUJ Welcomes South East VP, Sends Appreciation to Union Leaders
Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ, Imo State Council has welcome in totality the emergence of Comrade Ezenwa Adiuku as the first Vice President of South East zone from Imo state.
Imo NUJ expressed joy in a release signed by the Council’s Secretary, Comrade Treasure Ihechi-Nwamah where it appreciated the National leadership of the Union for their commitment to the developmental course of the zone by holding the by-election which produced one of Imo’s finest journalist, Comrade Adiuku.
The Council however noted that the impressive outcome of the Zonal election signifies the leadership strides of the National leadership of the Union to enthrone astute professionals who believe in the union and work for its progress.
Imo NUJ leadership equally thanked Leaders of Zone C as well as all NEC members for their confidence in the new VP, praying God to see him through.
“On behalf of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Imo State Council, I wish to express our profound appreciation to the National Executive Council (NEC) of our great Union for the solidarity, overwhelming support and confidence demonstrated in the election of our own Comrade Eze Adiuku, as Vice President Zone C.
“This milestone is not just a personal achievement for Comrade Adiuku, but also a testament to trust and respect accorded to the Imo State Council within the larger NUJ family .
“We pay special tribute to our esteemed National President, Comrade Alhasan Yahaya, Deputy National President, Dr.Abimbola Oyetunde, the dedicated Leaders of Zone C and all NEC members whose confidence have brought this honour to our State Council.
“The Imo State Council solemnly assures the National Executive Council, the entire NUJ membership and all the stakeholders that Comrade Eze Adiuku, will discharge his duties with diligence, integrity and unwavering loyalty to the Union, upholding the confidence so graciously reposed on him.

“May this achievement further strengthen the bonds of unity and service that define our noble profession”, Imo NUJ stated.
